Utility Template

Creation Workflow

Initiation & Access

Navigate to ChannelsSidebarTemplates.



You may select a pre-built template from the Admin Library, or choose Custom and click the green "+ Create new Template" button at the top-right to build from scratch.


Basic Configuration

Enter your Template Name, select the Language, and set Category = Utility.

Naming Requirement: Template names must consist strictly of lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores.


Structural Component Guide

Build your message using these standard components to ensure a premium user experience.

Component Requirements & Details
Header Optional

Supports Text (max 60 chars) or Media (Images, Video, Documents,location).

Example: "Order Confirmation" or a company logo image.
Body Required

The core message content. Supports dynamic variables for personalization using curly brackets. and Use variables if necessary.

Example: "Hi {{1}}, your order #{{2}} is ready for pickup."
Footer Optional

Small text at the bottom for disclaimers or helpful notes.

Example: "Reply STOP to opt out."

Interactive Buttons

Add interactive buttons to your message to drive user actions and engagement.

Quick Replies

Predefined response options users can tap for instant interaction.

Example: "Yes", "Cancel", "Reschedule"

Call-To-Action (URL)

Redirect users to a website or tracking page. Requires Button Title and URL.

Call-To-Action (Phone)

Allows users to directly call a number. Requires Button Title and Phone Number.


How to Add Buttons
  • Select Type: Choose between Quick Replies, Call-To-Action, or ALL.
  • Enter Details: Provide the required Button Title, URL, or Phone Number.
  • Extend: Click the green "+ Add" button to include additional buttons.

Note: You can add multiple buttons (within platform limits) and combine different button types in a single template.

Review & Handover

Before final submission, use the Live Preview panel on the right to verify the visual layout across different devices. Once satisfied, click "Submit for Approval". Meta typically reviews utility templates within minutes to 24 hours.
